There are revolutionary changes in various areas of human activities. New drugs, new therapies and new technologies are introduced into medicine. According to contemporary concepts, the primary role of the future medicine will belong to early diagnostics and preventative treatment of diseases rather than their curative treatment. The purpose of the work is to provide brief information on new and effective diagnostics methods for various diseases.
Personal Electronic Medical Card: One of the ways to improve contemporary medicine is to personalize data and to improve communication between physicians. Some Russian physicians practice medical examinations via Skype. Video calls provide an opportunity to question the patient and carry out general examination to get an assessment of the patient’s health.
The Future of Diseases Diagnostics: Development of medical technologies provides the people with opportunity to monitor their health on their own. The Health Wear Company develops “smart clothes” that gather information on its wearer status, such as heart rate, body temperature and respiration rate.
Future Treatment of Cardiovascular Diseases: According to statistics, cardiovascular diseases have the highest risk of fatality among patients. The AliveCor Company has recently demonstrated a device which works in conjunction with an iPhone and allows to take an electrocardiogram (ECG). This mobile device can transfer this data via the Internet to the attending physician. The Russian developers present an interesting device called Cardiovisor. The device is capable of not only taking ECGs but also predicting cardiovascular pathologies using microalternations.
Mobile technologies: The Skin of Mine software provides an opportunity to determine skin diseases based on the photograph provided by a user and professional advice from skin specialists via the Internet.
In conclusion the primary objective of future medicine development is the personalization of medical data accessible to physicians of various clinics where the patient can be admitted to. Development of mobile self-diagnostics instruments capable of proving primary analysis without the assistance of a physician is a very important step in diagnostics and treatment.
