Therefore the most promising way to solve these problems is to prevent dental disease, the realization of this strategy will reduce their incidence and progressive development, thereby reducing the need for therapeutic treatment. It is of great value when we deal with children. In this regard, the most important measure for preventing dental disease is a rational oral hygiene and dental care. Early prevention of dental diseases in children plays an important role in the preservation of children dental health. The most effective methods of prevention of dental problems are beginning hygiene care and attention to the recommendations of a dentist since the first teeth. The factors contributing to the occurrence of carious lesions of the teeth are various. In modern society, unfavorable trends associated with nutrition are detected, modern people consume a lot of carbohydrates that have a high cariogenic potential, and children and adolescents are no exception.
It is a significant issue on keeping the teeth healthy. There are some rules: Don’t go to bed without brushing your teeth; Brush properly; Don’t neglect your tongue; Use a fluoride toothpaste; Treat flossing as important as brushing; Don’t let flossing difficulties stop you; Consider mouthwash; Drink more water; Eat crunchy fruits and vegetables; Limit sugary and acidic foods; See your dentist at least twice a year.
The incidence and intensity of dental diseases among the childhood population remains increasing, therefore, performing educational work at schools and higher institutions about the risk factors and possible ways to eliminate them taking into account age characteristics is important.
